# Understanding the Tabs

> Overview of accounting interface sections

## Insights

**Dashboard with key metrics**

* Cash position (current balance, trend)
* Profit margins (gross, net)
* AR/AP aging (what's owed, when due)
* Runway (months of cash remaining)

Use case: Business owners want quick financial health overview.

## Tasks

**Bookkeeping task queue**

* Uncategorized transactions needing review
* Reconciliation mismatches to resolve
* Missing vendor/customer info
* Monthly closing checklist

Use case: Keep accounting clean, surface items needing attention.

## Bank Transactions

**All synced bank activity**

* Transaction list with categories
* Filter by date, account, status
* Match to invoices/bills
* Categorize to GL accounts

Use case: Review bank activity, handle reconciliation.

## Reports

**Financial statements**

* Profit & Loss (P\&L)
* Balance Sheet

**All platforms**: Insights, Reports, GL
**Invoice-heavy platforms**: Add AR
**Expense-heavy platforms**: Add AP, Bank Transactions
**Full-service accounting**: Show all 7 tabs
